Forrest Hamer

FORREST HAMER was born in North Carolina in 1956. His first book of poems, Call and Response (Alice James Books, Farmington, Maine), won the 1995 Beatrice Hawley Award, and was a semi-finalist for the 1997 Poet’s Prize. He lives in Oakland, is a practicing psychologist, and lectures in psychology at the University of California, Berkeley.
